Clearwater Music Festival
Think of it as a family-friendly, earth-friendly—hell, just friendly—Woodstock. Clearwater, “a music and environmental festival,” has been advocating harmony (all kinds) since it was founded by Pete Seeger in the ‘60s. And each year, it calls for a fresh visual take on the theme.
Design that hits just the right note.
Like our past campaigns for Clearwater, the key was to create a visual shortcut—a concept that tied folk music to nature without saying (or playing) a word. In print, on tees, on screens and beside buses, the ads showed a sepia-toned banjo suspended in a lush thicket of leaves, art seeming to grow organically from nature—like fruit ripe for the “picking.”
